Crane in actionAs the weather service had been predicting for serveral days, the weather did finally cool today and it never got over 95. It was full sun, but there was a breeze all day. The change in weather and my motivation to make some progress and to not spend time caged in this house meant I worked outside during all the daylight hours.

I made good progress in part because I had use of my crane. The crane was especially useful in safely bringing down the corner post which have to be cut at the bottom; which are thick pieces of metal so difficult to cut through cleanly and which are top heavy. Attached image shows one corner post after being cut free and ready to be lowered.

This evening I watched another of the PBS episodes on the National Parks. It was a good way to relax in that working outside all day left me tired and I likely wasn't going to be able to do anything else.
